Best Deal on Digital Camera

Monday, October 1st, 2007

No matter what it is you are thinking of buying if you are like me then you will be on the lookout to get it for the best (read cheapest) possible price. You could just keep an eye on your favourite discount retailer and wiat until the Item you want is on Special or you could go and do some searches online for what you are looking for.

Now, recently, I was looking at some digital Cameras and one of the ones in my short list was the Sony Cyber shot DSC-T100.  I managed to find a store with it, but it seemed quite expensive to me so I did some further research.  Shopping .com was one of the sites that came up in the search and it provided not only a list of retailers rated from cheapest to dearest who had the particular item in stock, I could also directly compare things like shipping costs etc.

Not only is Shopping.com a great place to find the best prices on the Digital Camera I was looking at, on the search page it also has links to reviews and the ability for me to leave my own review.

The website itself is all about putting customers in touch with Retailers and it does this quite well.  What I also like about this site is that it is not just targetted to US shoppers and covers the UK, France, Germany and Australia as well. Regardless of where you are in the world, you will be able to find similar items.

I actually found something on the particular page about the Sony Digital Camera quite amusing - there was an advert for energiser batteries. Now in itself this is not funny, but when you consider that this particular camera uses a special Sony battery I had to laugh!

No matter if you are looking for a Digital Camera or anything else, then shopping.com is a worthwhile website to check.

Wall Hogs

Wednesday, November 29th, 2006

wallhogslogo.gif

Can you imagine taking one of your own photos and blowing it up to 7 feet by 4 feet, removing any background and putting it on your wall?  Well don’t imagine, get wallhogs to do it for you right now.  They turn your picture into a high-quality  print on semi-adhesive vinyl and send it to you via UPS.  Get creative - they can also add text to your photo as well!

This is a simple, inexpensive way to brighten up any room - a Kids room or your office will look a whole lot better with your wallhogs print on it.  Not only do they print on vinyl, but they can also do Glossy posters and Canvas prints as well.  Their comprehensive FAQ answers all the questions you might have, and if it doesn’t then simply call them toll free to find out more.

Anyone who has a digital Camera of at least 3 Megapixels can get it turned into a large print.  It is nowhere near as expensive as I thought it might be either!

NZ Digital Images

Wednesday, August 30th, 2006

Digital Images is a hybrid Photo Blog / Image Gallery with some photography articles thrown in for good measure.  You can browse unique photographic images from around New Zealand.

The site is a great example of what you can achieve with a customized Drupal theme, bearing little resemblance to the default themes. It is a fixed width two column CSS driven design with a twist. The main content area actually wraps under the navigation column maximizing available space. The site is viewable down to 600×800 resolution.

The Image Gallery is categorized by geographical location or if you prefer you can quickly browse through thumbnails of all the images from the newest to oldest. Once you find that special image you are looking for click on the thumbnail and it takes you to a larger version. But, don’t keep it to yourself. Why not send an eCard to your friend and family?
