Time to Save

One of the best things about taking a few minutes to check out online resources before going shopping is that sometimes you can get unbeleivable deals - the rest of the time you should seek out a Coupon and get from a few $ to a few % off the full retail price.

Couponchief is a directory with a difference, you see they don’t list websites they list discount coupons and offers from a whole heap of places. They have a heap of merchants listed that offer coupon codes and to make it easy to find a particular item they also have the coupons listed by category. The website is easy to navigate and easy to use. I just clicked on the first merchant in the Merchant list bestbuy.com and there were a heap of discount codes offering things like free shipping, $50 off and 10 to 15% off various items.

For Regular visitors you can simply click on the new offers link at the top of the page to see what has been updated within the last day or so. So, forget paying full retail and before you shop find a coupon.

Got Ink?

inkers_biztop-logo.gif

If you are one of the very small number of people who don’t own a printer then skip this post!  You are still reading?  Well, you must own a printer of some sort.  Printers are one of those things that eats paper and runs out of ink at the most inconvenient time!  Well, we can’t do anything about the timing, but Inkers can provide Ink or toner to feed your printer.

Inkers is a web store that sells, yep, you guessed it, Ink and toner cartridges  for nearly every printer you can think of.  They are powered by Yahoo store - so the site is built on a reliable, rock solid e-commerce system that is easy to use.  They meet the requirements as we have said in the past by providing A Telephone, E-mail and Postal address.  If you are in the Continental Us they even provide Free Shipping!

I have not 1 but several printers so I looked up the price of the ink and Toner cartridges that they all use and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Prices at Inkers are very good!  So, before you run out of ink or your toner is empty, check them out and buy a spare for your printer.

Online Discount shopping

Sunday, February 25th, 2007

And when you thought that the bargains were just in the $2 shops along comes an Online Discount Mart to change your Ideas on shopping for home and Garden accessories. The Online discount store has a range similar to what you might find in a Discount Homewares/Garden store in your town, with the usual conveniences of shopping online 24/7.

Like other online stores we have reviewed in the past, the Online discount Mart provides s Toll-free Telephone number, a contact form and a physical address. It is always a good thing to have the assurance of several methods of contacting the person behind the website. The site itself is focussed on being a shopping cart - you browse the catalogue, add items to your cart and once you have finished, check out and pay for your goods. The FAQ tells us that they ship to the 50 states using Ground service, so you will have your order in about a week.

The site offers a bit more than just a catalogue where you can purchase your goods from - it also has an articles section. The articles are fairly closely aligned with the type of goods in their catalogue. There is a heap of gardening and home decorating Ideas to be found.

Bassa Bids

Thursday, February 22nd, 2007

bassabids_logo.gif

Looking for an Ipod, Plasma TV or even a Car or motorbike for only a few $? Yes, you could bid on one of the above Items and purchase it for a few measly $. At the moment, the site is in Beta testing, and during this time you have the chance to put a bid in to Win an Ipod each week. Last weeks winner only paid $1.35 for a Brand new Ipod shuffle! But the best part of this is that during the Beta testing, there is no cost to participate and place a bid!

BassaBids is an online Auction site with a difference - It is a reverse Auction, where the Lowest unique bid wins. Once it gets out of Beta, you will simply pay a small amount to place a bid, and the winner will simply pay their bid amount. In order to bid, you only need an email address and a Paypal account. They are also planning on offering SMS bidding in the future.

Don’t understand what this is all about then take a look at their Reverse Auction instructions page - it is very clearly shown with a description and a picture.

The website is quite clan and easy to us - the front page has the list of current Auctions, the how it works, about and My account pages are all easy to find and easy to use. Anyway, there is 3 days left on the current Auction, so I am off to put in a bid to try and win an IPod!

TV Shopping

Sunday, February 18th, 2007

I bet you have seen all of the TV offers for various household products. Yes, I thought so. If you are like me, you think that sometimes some of these products may be useful but they always seem to be pretty expensive for what you get. Well the good news is that it doesn’t have to be. At TV Products 4 Less you can browse their online store and purchase most of what you see on TV for a lot less!

The site is of course an online shopping mall and their product lines are quite varied. Like all good online stores, they provide offline contact information in the form of a Toll-free number. I always say if you are purchasing from someone online for the first time you should pick up the phone and talk to someone. It can give you the confidence to know you are dealing with a real person!  They also have an online contact form as well.

The Home page has several items that are from several categories. What I like about the TV Products 4 Less online store is that they show you the TV price, and also their online price - and how much you save by shopping online. I guess that the TV ads cost a lot of money and that is why the TV prices are soo high.

When shopping online you want to be able to pay for your purchases in an easy way - they offer the convenience of Credit cards and Paypal to pay for your purchases.

Are you the …

smartestbidder_logo_sm.jpg

… Smartest bidder? Well, before you decide to answer yes, you need to know how you can be the Smartest bidder and what it is all about. The smartest bidder is all about making a bid on some fantastic items and rather than being the highest bid to win like a “normal” auction, here, you need to make the lowest unique bid.  You can bid on items from Ipods to Big screen TV’s.

All Items have a number of bids and when there is this number of bids the Auction is closed. So, an Auction might last from a few days to several weeks.  Now, the next question is of course, is how much does it cost?  Well that is the best part! For each bid you make there is a small fee which varies depending on the Item you are bidding on and if you are the lowest unique bidder, you only pay what you have bid.  The cost to bid is between $0.99 and $1.99 per bid.  So, just make a bid in A reverse Auction for your chance to buy one of the Items on offer for next to nothing!

To make a bid all you need to do is to check out the latest Auction Items, select the one you would like to win, enter your bid and then send an SMS with a bid code.  Nothing could be easier than this.  Even better, if you have your own website, you could even earn $$.  How? well, sign up as an affiliate, and every person who you refer and casts a vote you get paid!

The website is very clean and simple - A selection of Auction Items are on the front page.  The navigation is across the top under the header and has Auctions, FAQ’s ahd how it works, Contact and Affiliate.  I just wish that the had maybe a little more info on the home page about how it works - to make it easy for first time site visitors to understand what it is all about without having to click to another page.  I really like the Idea as to what they offer, and especially that you could bid and win an Auction for an expensive item for a few cents!

Posters

Friday, February 2nd, 2007

5dollarposters_logo.gif

Looking for Cheap Posters? Even if you are not, you might want to simply browse the hundreds that are available.  Posters are a great way to put your mark on your space, such as your room, or even your college dorm.

The Website is not real flash and fancy, it is all about letting you view the posters and making it easy to buy them.  It would not win any beauty contests, but hey, you are looking for a cheap poster and looking to get it as easy as possible after all.  Depending on your interests, you can choose from Music, Movies and TV and several other categories.  If you are really keen, you can even browse all 30 pages with 18 posters per page of every single poster on offer.  All the contact details are available, phone, email and online form in case you need them.

Now, last time I checked, $5 didn’t buy you a whole lot, and a poster for $5 sounds like a pretty good deal to me.  What makes it even better is the shipping is cheap as well.  Buying multiple posters at the same time saves you heaps on shipping, and if you add in the 10% discount for buying 3 you can see that you can change the look of your space for not much more than you would spend on a burger and fries for lunch.

Now no self respecting college student would want to be without a classic poster - This poster will give you a huge incentive to get that study stuff done so you can get to the next party!
